The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of loose ring snaffles. The shanks of conventional single-jointed bits are of different lengths due to manufacturing techniques, which means that slightly more pressure is always exerted on one side. You can avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit. The joint in the middle of these bits is tilted forward by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and prevent pressure on the palate.
The rotation is characterized by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasting) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit.
