"I'm not someone who changes saddles quickly, thinking: the horse is running poorly and is having/is having problems - it needs a new saddle. In the 35 years I've been riding Icelandic horses, I've learned that it's unfortunately not that simple. After all, there are several other crucial factors involved, especially the rider.

The other way around makes more sense: a properly fitting, back-friendly saddle prevents problems. This was the main criterion for me when, after detailed consultation with my daughter Charlotte and Jana Stagneth, as well as intensive testing over several days, I decided on the new ePolar saddle. Fortunately, the saddle fits both of my horses well. Of course, the horses and I needed some time to get used to the new saddle, but positive effects were soon noticeable. I ride primarily cross-country and also go on longer rides.

The wider gullet width and the U-shaped gullet plate, as well as the raised panels and their very special wool filling, make it significantly easier for the horses to lift their sternum and give the rider a great riding experience thanks to the very soft seat. The knee rolls are also comfortable, allowing the knee to swing freely, keeping the hips relaxed. I'm thrilled!

I've finally found a saddle that not only offers comfortable seating for the rider but is also optimally adapted to my horse's anatomy. Jana's advice and support are always warm and professional.
