The NATHE snaffle bit is back, and with its 15mm width, it's ideal for Icelandic horses. We've replaced the plastic joints with stainless steel and angled them forward 45°, eliminating pressure on the palate. With single-jointed bits, increased pressure is placed on the edges of the tongue when the reins are taken, relieving pressure on the middle of the tongue.
The high-quality thermoplastic has a smooth surface, is food-safe, and free of plasticizers and solvents. Furthermore, thermoplastic is temperature-neutral, making the bit comfortable for the horse even in cold temperatures.
We recommend this bit for horses that have tongue problems, are generally difficult to ride with metal bits and generally for horses that have sensitive mouths.
