KK ULTRA bits achieve their unique, precise effect thanks to the special 45° angle of the centerpiece. Compared to existing bits, the middle piece has also been shortened. This anatomical adjustment noticeably optimizes the impact compared to conventional double-jointed bits.
When the reins are picked up, the middle piece—also called the "olive" because of its distinctive shape—rolls gently over the central part of the horse's tongue, stimulating its sense of touch. The connecting rings to the middle piece roll smoothly over the tongue without exerting any pressure.
