Anatomy & saddle construction
Basic anatomical knowledge
Our equipment is based on our specialist knowledge of the horse's musculoskeletal system.
Freedom of movement is on everyone’s lips, but what exactly does this mean?
- Bones: As the static skeleton of the musculoskeletal system, their shape remains unchanging. They form the supporting structure of vertebrates.
- Joints: with their joint head and the counterpart of the joint socket, they form the movable link between two bones and enable targeted movement
- Nervous system: No stimulus, no reaction. The nervous system reacts to sensory stimuli and processes them into reactions such as muscle movements, sensations of pain, etc.
- Musculature: refers to the sum of all the muscles in the body. It can be divided into smooth muscle and striated muscle. The latter is further differentiated into cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle. Only skeletal muscle can be consciously controlled. See Vitafloor Facts.
From thrust to load capacity:
In order to enjoy training with a healthy horse over many years in equestrian sports, you need not only good training for carrying capacity but also, above all, high-quality equipment.
Along with the bridle, the saddle represents a crucial link between rider and horse. Our equipment not only supports the rider's gentle influence, but also promotes the joy of movement and training of the horse's carrying capacity under the saddle through special features in our equipment.
