Anatomy & saddle construction

Basic anatomical knowledge

Our equipment is based on our specialist knowledge of the horse's musculoskeletal system.

Freedom of movement is on everyone’s lips, but what exactly does this mean?

- Bones: As the static skeleton of the musculoskeletal system, their shape remains unchanging. They form the supporting structure of vertebrates.

- Joints: with their joint head and the counterpart of the joint socket, they form the movable link between two bones and enable targeted movement

- Nervous system: No stimulus, no reaction. The nervous system reacts to sensory stimuli and processes them into reactions such as muscle movements, sensations of pain, etc.

- Musculature: refers to the sum of all the muscles in the body. It can be divided into smooth muscle and striated muscle. The latter is further differentiated into cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle. Only skeletal muscle can be consciously controlled. See Vitafloor Facts.

From thrust to load capacity:

In order to enjoy training with a healthy horse over many years in equestrian sports, you need not only good training for carrying capacity but also, above all, high-quality equipment.

Along with the bridle, the saddle represents a crucial link between rider and horse. Our equipment not only supports the rider's gentle influence, but also promotes the joy of movement and training of the horse's carrying capacity under the saddle through special features in our equipment.

Our saddles - construction

WOOL & LEATHER

Our saddles are made exclusively with wool panels.

We are convinced that the musculature of every living being changes over time. A saddle can only be optimal if it is adjustable and in harmony with the musculature.

The Recron® Fibrefill wool in our saddles is the most modern filling currently available on the market. Moisture, sweat , and other fluids are not absorbed by the saddle filling, thus preventing the wool from knotting.

We use vegetable-tanned buffalo leather. Thanks to careful processing, our leather is both extremely robust and has a very elegant appearance.

THE SADDLE TREE

Your saddle can be adjusted to your horse with millimeter precision; our GP-Flair saddle tree is specially designed so that the gullet width can be individually adjusted using a cold press. The horse's back should be checked for changes at least once or twice a year, depending on training and age.

Saddle pass & identification

The saddle you purchased can be fitted with a microchip transponder upon request. The unique serial number can be read with a chip reader and can therefore be clearly identified in the event of theft. This number will, of course, be found in your saddle pass, which you will receive with your saddle after purchase.

KEY POINTS OF OUR SADDLE

As riders, we want a horse in training that approaches the bit energetically over its back and can fulfill the points of the 'training scale' to its extent.

The crucial point is a healthy, motivated horse that can actively arch its back and step under its center of gravity by relaxing and tensing its abdominal muscles.

DEF. SADDLE: A saddle is designed to stabilize the rider's seat, as well as its balance and to relieve the strain on the horse's back.

The seat in conjunction with the panels is designed in such a way that the panels do not end in front of the cantle, but rather the rider's weight is distributed over the entire surface of the panels.

The seat is particularly soft and allows the rider to sit optimally with their center of gravity.

The seat size is based on your thigh length so that you can make optimal use of the saddle's center of gravity.
